LANDSCAPES / SEASCAPES PORTRAITS OF PEOPLE AND HOUSES
While working for twenty-five years as an architectural photographer and by way of that, seeing the world, I decided to explore the world from inside one room....my painting studio. I have
done about fourteen books and there are still almost always a couple in production, but I am now also interested in making images of paint that come from inside my own head.
My subjects are landscapes, mostly of Maine and West Virginia, seascapes, and some oddball portraits of friends and strangers. Some are small, some very large, six feet or more. I
paint in a small coastal village in Maine, and right downtown in Washington, D.C. The paintings, many owned by friends, have gone across the country and around the world, in collections
both private and corporate. You will also find my work in several galleries, including my own, in Penobscot, Maine. I also accept commissions.
